Universities in North Carolina founded RTI in 1958 as a centerpiece of the Research Triangle Park.
RTI is currently seeking staff for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) funded Kenya Youth Workforce Program (KYWP) in Kenya that aims to enhance employability of Kenyan youth (Ages 18-35) for increased wage and self-employment, for underemployed youth who have not completed secondary school. The KYWP is a 5 year activity that will result in increased workforce competitiveness in the sectors targeted by this program.

Accountant: Coordinates all accounting procedures of the KYWP Project Initiatives together with field offices. This position reports to the Finance and Administration Manager .S/he communicates with and supports the project by working closely with the Finance, Administration and the Project Management Teams. S/he maintains regular contact with the field Team in the field Office to ensure that the project receives support in the specific functional areas of the role. S/he is aware of, and adheres to RTI’s, and Client’s, financial, procurement and administrative procedures in all activities. Qualifications: Applicants must possess a minimum Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of experience or Master’s degree and 1 years of experience. CPA (K) or equivalent required; good understanding of Book Keeping procedures; Computer skills, including MS Office suite and QuickBooks; Strong communication and inter personal skills; Willingness to be flexible in working hours and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. Prior experience with USAID funded projects will be an added advantage. This position does not attract international allowances.
Finance Assistant: Supports all accounting procedures of the KYWP Initiatives together with field offices in recording and retrieving financial details of the company including maintaining financial records, processing payments and cash handling. This position reports to the Finance and Administration Manager and will be working closely with the project accountant. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of experience in a busy project finance department; good understanding of Book Keeping procedures. QuickBooks experience will be an added advantage; Knowledge of MS office suit e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel. USAID funded projects experience will be an added advantage.
