BAE Systems adds 3.4bn Riyals to the Saudi Economy

?A report by Oxford Economics, the world leader in global forecasting and quantitative analysis for business and government, has identified that BAE Systems contributed SAR15.6bn to the Saudi economy between 2008 and 2012.

It calculated that the Company’s direct added value (i.e. the sum of wages and profits) amounted to 3.4 billion Saudi Riyals in 2012 and the direct added value over the period 2008-2012 was 15.6 billion Saudi Riyals.
The report also noted that, the total value of sales for BAE Systems’ Saudi Arabian business was 13.9 billion Saudi Riyals in 2012 and 71.4 billion Saudi Riyals over the period 2008-2012.
Andy Carr, Managing Director for BAE Systems in Saudi Arabia, commented: “BAE Systems has a long-term relationship with Saudi Arabia and has been in the Kingdom for nearly 50 years and, as this report shows, we are significant contributors to the Saudi economy.”
BAE Systems is the largest local defence supplier to Saudi Arabia, designing, integrating and maintaining defence systems for the Saudi government. The company operates in eight locations in Saudi Arabia - Riyadh, Dhahran, Tabuk, Taif, Jeddah, Khamis Mushayt, and Jubail.

Director - Health Systems Development

Under the overall supervision and policy guidance of the Regional Director (RD), and under the direct supervision of the Director, Programme Management (DPM), the incumbent is responsible to lead work under the RD's Strategic Direction "Advancing universal health coverage and robust health systems".
- Directing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating collaborative programmes with the Member States in the Region under the domain of Health Systems Development taking into account the WHO core functions, priorities and country health needs.
- Harmonizing the work of other departments / technical units in SEARO, WCOs, HQ, national authorities, other UN agencies, various donors, private sector and civil socities.
- Promoting and assuring intra and inter - departmental teamwork including the WHO Collaborating Centres and Centres of Excellence.
- Ensure effective management of human and financial resources for programmes under his/her direct supervision.
- Supporting DPM and RD as part of technical Secretariat for the WHO Governing Bodies (WHA/EB/RC) and other important high level meetings
- Acting as RD, DPM or other Department, Directors during their absence when so designated by the RD.
- Performing any other duties as deemed necessary.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Essential:
Degree in medicine or in health-related areas with Post graduate degree in health-related areas or disciplines.

Skills:

- Thorough knowledge of WHO values, goals, policies, rules and regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of public health issues and health systems in the area of health systems development.
- High-level technical and management competence with knowledge of planning, directing, monitoring and evaluating health and health related programmes pertaining to the areas of work.
- Ability to exercise sound professional judgement.
- Leadership and supervision ability to foster team spirit and team work.
- Capability in programme planning, development, implementation, logistics, and/or monitoring and evaluation.
- Good computer literacy

Competencies:
- Promoting WHO's position in health leadership
- Building and promoting partnerships across the organization and beyond
- Creating an empowering and motivating environment
- Ensuring effective use of resources
- Communicating in a credible and effective way

Experience:

Essential: At least 15 years of experience at progressively responsible levels, of which minimum five years must be at the international setting, in planning and management of public health programmes and/or public health cooperation activities.

Desirable: Previous work experience in a multicultural environment or a UN/multilateral organization will be an advantage.

Languages:

Essential:
Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English

Desirable:
Knowledge of other languages in the SEAR countries will be an asset

Annual salary:
(Net of tax)

USD 95575 at single rate
USD 103400 with primary dependants

Post Adjustment:
39. 60 % of the above figure(s). This percentage is to be considered as indicative since variations may occur each month either upwards or downwards due to currency exchange rate fluctuations or inflation.

Project Assistant, Procurement Systems and Analytics

The Project Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Team
manager and Project Manager with project management and project administration
support functions, including, but not limited to, the following:

* Project Administration support
tasks

* Set-up projects in MS Projects
and ATLAS (UNOPS ERP system) etc.

* Project Accounting tasks

* Timesheet approvals from Third
party resource usage

* Facilitate necessary
adjustments to the project plan, budget, etc.

* Support project managers on the
drafting of correspondence, presentations and/or reports as required

* Above tasks in close cooperation
with other units within UNOPS, taking the lead where required to secure timely
execution.

* Project Management support
tasks

* Develop templates and examples
for critical documents that facilitate defining project, tracking execution and
informing stakeholders

* Work with project teams to
bring about planned and effective project results

* Coordinate for Project Team
and/or Vendor meetings

* Facilitate project related
document archiving

* Assist Project Manager and
Project Team with document distribution, scanning, copying, etc.

* Assist the Team Manager and the
Deputy Director, Procurement Operations

* Liaise with key stakeholders
within SPPG and UNOPS, ensuring proper information and communications are
provided concerning ongoing initiatives and projects

* Prepare correspondence,
presentations and/or reports as required

* Follow-up on correspondence and
outstanding requests for resolution

* Other administrative duties
related to the work programme of the Procurement Operations Unit.

The Project Assistant is responsible for assisting
in ensuring that projects follows policies, administrative instructions, plans
and procedures of UNOPS.

programme management or project management. Experience in the field of Procurement
related Project Management is desirable.

Experience with MS Projects is desirable.

Language

Fluency in English is a requirement.

IT Systems Engineer

The IT Systems Engineer is (a) a IT Service Desk team member, (b) a solution provider, troubleshooting and fixing technical and process issues, (c) a project manager (d) and a coach and mentor.

Partnerships

The IT Systems Engineer works closely with other members of the Service Delivery Unit, staff in the Agency and vendor companies to resolve incidents and problems and oversees, monitors and administers incident and problem responses. He/she also interacts with other staff in the Division to support cross-sectional projects and activities.

Functions / Key Results Expected

* Provide resolutions, workarounds, and recommendations for incidents assigned or logged by customers, following IT Service Management (ITSM) processes.

* Act as first and second level support for incidents reported to IT service desk.

* Ensure incident and problem management processes are correctly followed. Liaise with Problem Manager(s) to ensure prompt resolution of problems within SLA/OLA targets.

* Monitor all open incidents to ensure business expectations and SLAs are met.

* Review regularly, randomly selected incidents and service requests to ensure ITIL process & tool compliance.

* Support and maintain Agency's standard software, hardware and operating systems following procedural standards and within agreed time frames.

* Produce periodic ITSM reports and distribute to all identified stakeholders.

* Create/Maintain knowledge base and documentation on processes, procedures, FAQ, known problems.

* Contribute to a managed workplace by producing and maintaining technical information, IT standards, service policies, and request forms.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Strong IT Service Desk related experience with ability to deal with established deadlines and priorities.

* Advanced technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills of Windows 7 and MS Office suite of products.

* Advanced troubleshooting knowledge of PC/laptop issues.

* Knowledge of Service Desk tools for incident logging and tracking, desk performance and IT Service Desk operations.

* Good interpersonal skills and people skills to deal effectively with customers, colleagues and other technical staff in a courteous and friendly manner.

* Highly effective written and verbal communication skills directed at audiences at all levels.

* Excellent problem solving skills and result orientation. Strong organization and time management skills.

* Ability to deal with multiple, competing demands, and to multi-task.

* Ability to take on new tasks and responsibilities when necessary; can be flexible; is willing to learn.

* Interest in continual learning and improvement.

* Ability to work in a multicultural environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.

Education, Experience and Language Skills

* University degree in computer science, information management or a related field.

* A minimum of two years of professional experience in technical support and troubleshooting desktop client hardware and software issues including operating systems, MS Office suite of products and different utility software programs, in an IT Service Desk with in an IT enterprise environment.

* Hands-on experience in desktop operating system maintenance and troubleshooting, and installation and support of MS Windows. Hands-on experience in deployment of software packages.

* Technical knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, Software deployment tools like SCCM and SharePoint experience a plus.

* Experience of working in an IT enterprise environment, including using incident, problem and change management processes and creating documentation.

* Microsoft certification such as MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional), MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) is an advantage.

* Knowledge of ITIL and PRINCE2, or similar service and project management standards is desirable.

* Fluency in written and spoken English; working knowledge of another official IAEA language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an asset.

Remuneration

The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package
including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $46 819 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), a
variable post adjustment
which currently amounts to US $31 275*, dependency benefits,
rental subsidy,
education grant,
relocation and
repatriation expenses; 6 weeks' annual vacation,
home leave,
pension plan and
health insurance.

Senior Expert (Organisation and Management Systems)

The Senior Expert (Organisation and Management Systems) is: (1) an expert in all aspects of organisation and management systems for nuclear facilities and activities, including both new nuclear power projects and operating nuclear power plants; (2) a programme planner and implementer, planning, developing and implementing activities aimed at helping Member States improve their nuclear energy programmes; (3) a scientific secretary, planning and leading complex Technical Meetings; (3) a technical and project officer, evaluating and supporting the implementation of complex technical cooperation projects in the area of organisation and management systems within the IAEA's programme on nuclear power planning, implementation and performance; and (4) a partnership builder, establishing, developing and maintaining an international network in organisation and management systems for nuclear power plants.

Partnerships

The Senior Expert (Organisation and Management Systems) engages high-level technical and political counterparts in Member States in the programme planning and implementation area to ensure effective transfer and sharing of technical (nuclear) and managerial know-how, and promotes partnership building with appropriate international organizations and other relevant institutions. In addition, he/she meets regularly with the Section Head and colleagues in the Department to ensure effective utilization and integration of all resources (human, financial and technical). He/she also works, and coordinates work, with technical experts in the Department of Technical Cooperation and the Department of Nuclear Safety and Security to ensure seamless integration of all projects and programmes.

Functions / Key Results Expected

* Plan, coordinate and supervise the Section's activities in the field of organisation and management systems for all phases of a nuclear power programme and throughout the lifecycle of a nuclear power plant, in accordance with Member States' needs and in compliance with the requirements and recommendations of the IAEA's guidance on management systems and related areas.

* Coordinate the provision of specialized technical input to technical cooperation projects related to organisation and management systems. Provide technical guidance, evaluate proposals, develop work plans, and provide support in planning and implementing training courses and workshops.

* Broaden and deepen the field of knowledge by organizing scientific meetings related to organisational development and management systems, organizational culture and project management, and serve as scientific secretary. Prepare scientific programmes, contribute to the preparation and editing of scientific reports, manuals, proceedings and other scientific publications. Prepare and organize in-house meetings in support of the Section's scientific programme.

* Maintain the high standing and recognition of the IAEA in the scientific community by representing the IAEA at national and international meetings as required. Establish and maintain contacts with individual scientists at various centres and in other relevant international organizations, committees and scientific societies. Establish and maintain an international network or community of practice on management systems, in line with Department of Nuclear Energy practices.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Professional expertise:

* Comprehensive and current knowledge of arrangements in owner/operator organizations and management systems, including knowledge gained from practical experience in implementing management systems and organisational development based on the latest IAEA requirements and guidance;

* Familiarity with and understanding of the specific needs and conditions of developing or expanding nuclear power programmes and proven ability in matters relating to strengthening human capacity development in developing countries.

* Interpersonal skills: Ability to operate effectively across organizational boundaries and to establish and maintain effective partnerships and working relations in a multicultural and multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.

* Planning and organizing skills:

* Demonstrated ability to set clearly defined objectives and to plan activities/projects well in advance, taking into account possible changing circumstances;

* Ability to identify and organize the required resources and to monitor performance against deadlines and milestones.

* Supervisory skills: Ability to provide staff with clear direction, to delegate work and to motivate staff.

* Communication skills: Ability to write technical documents in a structured manner and to deliver effective oral presentations.

Education, Experience and Language Skills

* Advanced university degree, or equivalent higher level degree, in nuclear engineering, physics or physical sciences.

* Minimum of 10 years of working experience in the nuclear power area, including at least 5 years in senior managerial positions at a nuclear operating organization or on a nuclear project.

* Familiarity and experience with the application of IAEA standards on management systems.

* In-depth knowledge of and experience in the principles and developments relating to the field of management systems for organizations that are responsible for nuclear facilities and activities.

* Comprehensive experience in the management of scientific projects related to management systems and organizational culture.

* Experience in organizational culture and its relationship to management systems is desirable, particularly related to organizations that are responsible for nuclear facilities and activities.

* Experience of working in national/international nuclear projects is desirable.

* Fluency in spoken and written English. Knowledge of any other official IAEA language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish or Russian) an asset.

The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package
including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $80 887 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), a
variable post adjustment
which currently amounts to US $54 033*, dependency benefits,
diplomatic status,
rental subsidy,
