Overall purpose of the job: Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. Support Director, managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization, communication and secretarial work
Key Responsibilities
a) Types and designs general correspondences, memos, reports. Proofreads copy for spelling, grammar and layout, making appropriate changes.

c) Undertake office reception duties, both in person and on the telephone, including taking messages for other staff.
d) To assist with the organisation of conferences, seminars meetings and other events
e) To assist with the taking of minutes and notes at meetings.
f) Process incoming mail and emails draft and edit correspondence when required
g) Maintain a tidy and efficient office environment

Qualifications and skills

DIRECTOR, EXAMINATIONS CLE2 CLE/HR01/2015 (1 POSITION)

Overall purpose of the job: Reporting to the Secretary/CEO, the position is charged with the responsibility of developing sound and effective framework for administration of Bar examinations and assuring the credibility, integrity, efficiency and effectiveness of the examinations.
Key Responsibilities
a) Develop and implement a comprehensive framework for management of the examination process including examination registration, test development administration and certification;
b) Develop and implement Bar Examination standards and procedures to assure the examinations achieve set objectives, meet expected standards of a Bar Exam and are credible. Be responsible for ensuring the set standards meet international best practice;
c) Be responsible for assuring the integrity of the entire examination system and processes;
d) Develop and implement a sound examination registration process ensuring only eligible candidates are registered and take the examinations;
e) Be responsible for the development of a sound record management to maintain accurate records on candidates marks attained and certification;
f) Establish a system of collaboration with legal training providers on examination administration including provision of examination venues and supervision of examinations;
g) Recruit examination setters, moderators and markers ensuring that their roles are clearly defined and those recruited meet set qualifications and required standards of personal integrity and confidentiality;
h) Be responsible for ensuring security for all examination materials including examiners draft tests, examination papers and marked scripts;
i) Carry out local and international benchmarking for continual improvement of examination administration process;
j) Serve as secretary to the Bar Examination Board as shall be decided by the Council of Legal Education.
Qualifications and skills
a) A Masters Degree in Law from a recognized university. A PHD in Law or Education will be an added advantage;
b) Training in Test Development will be an added advantage;
c) Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a similar environment, 5 of which should be at senior management level in similar environment;
d) High proficiency in use of ICT;
e) Demonstrable organizational skills, PR and communication skills;
f) Negotiation skills;
g) Leadership skills;
h) Highest integrity.

Overall purpose of the job; Reports to Senior Human Resource Officer, the driver ensures that staff are driven safely to meetings, workshops, and other work related destinations; and that the vehicle under allocated is maintained in an optimal working condition.
The key responsibilities include:
a) Drive staff and officials as authorized;
b) Ensures that the assigned vehicle is compliant with the minimum operating standards and CLE transport requirements

Overall purpose of the job
Reports to Senior ICT Officer, the successful candidate will assist in ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of ICT systems and services.
Key Job responsibilities
a) Support the organizations network infrastructure and services like the LAN, print services, email etc.
b) Provide ICT related support and guidance to staff.
c) Conduct and supervise ICT preventive maintenance activities
d) Installing, configuring, upgrading and repairing PC hardware and software.
e) Conduct periodic backups of the identified information systems.
f) Participate and assist in the organization of ICT related training for the staff
Qualifications and skills
a) Diploma in Information Technology/ Computer Science
b) Degree in Information Technology or computer Science an added advantage;
c) Possess professional qualifications in CCNA or MCSE or other relevant qualification.
d) Knowledge of LINUX/UNIX will be an added advantage.
e) Have a minimum of 3 years working experience in an ICT environment.
f) Have the ability to conduct basic training in computer skills.
g) Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare concise oral and written reports.

Overall purpose of the job
Reporting to the Finance, Planning and Administration manager The Finance Officer will prepare budgets analyse risks and ensure that any expenditure is within voted funds and monitor budget implementation.
Key Responsibilities
a) Preparing expenditure forecasts as per National Treasury guidelines;
b) Initiating proposals seeking funds for additional expenditure and reallocation of voted funds.
c) Monitoring expenditure and projects including programme implementation
d) Contribution to the financial aspects of the strategic planning process and ensure that internal financial targets and budgets are fully consistent with the strategic plan and relevant agreements.
e) Manage working capital, assets and liabilities
f) undertake product and service costing tasks
Knowledge, Skills & Experience and Personal Attributes
a) Bachelors Degree in Finance or Economics from a recognized university;
b) Masters degree will be an added advantage
c) Full professional qualification in CPA-K, ACCA, CFA
d) Have a minimum of 4 years work experience in a busy accounting environment a team player and high level interpersonal skills;
