United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland: Livelihoods Advisor

About us

Save the Children is the world’s leading independent organisation for children working in 120 countries to save lives and help them fulfil their potential.

Our food security and livelihoods advisers develop projects, programmes and research activities aimed at building resilient livelihoods to improve tangible well-being outcomes for children (food and nutrition security, financial access to basic services, and reduction in harmful child labour).

We work with children and families are increasing our focus on working with adolescent girls and boys to improve their skills and access to opportunities as they make the transition into adulthood. We recognise that youth unemployment, a key factor in the well-being of today’s teenagers and tomorrow’s parents, and is a growing and increasingly urgent challenge across the world. In particular, you will lead the design of market development programmes aimed at delivery impact on children’s well-being and on improving the livelihood opportunities of young people.

About you

We are looking to recruit someone who has experience developing and implementing livelihoods programmes, with demonstrable thematic expertise in market development and/or youth livelihoods.
