The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners.

This individual is accountable for the following systems: Windows responsibilities on these systems include SA engineering and provisioning, operations and support, maintenance and research and development to ensure continual innovation.

. Integrate new technologies into the networks
. Support, manage, and configure SOC and IT-Security workstations, servers, networking components, and applications
. Implement and maintain security incident tracking and record keeping capabilities
. Evaluate and implement standard software utilities capable of identifying operating system patches Microsoft Windows and multiple-types of Unix environments
. Evaluate and implement current end-of-life IDS equipment
. Automate capabilities to monitor critical systems for configuration changes
. Evaluate virus software to scan and monitor Internet email traffic
. Automate the parsing and analysis of network router logs to identify recent changes in configurations or unusual activity
. Perform external and internal Firewall administration, configuration, installation and upgrade activities
. Review and provide solutions for new applications and/or devices that could become a part of the critical infrastructure
. Develop and maintain system and security documentation
. Provide security support for external Cisco routers and switches
. Perform technical enhancements to existing assets
. Evaluate legacy systems and hardware for conversion to modern systems
. Provide an intrusion detection and security monitoring function in support of enterprise IT security plan
. Provide limited support for DNS and Mail Relay during normal duty hours
. Provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.

5. Server Operating System (OS) Baseline Engineer

Required Experience:

Experience  developing standardized server operating system, such as but not limited to Windows, UNIX, and LINUX builds that are compliant with enterprise standards, and security policy.

Required Skills:
    - HPSA Course Completion and MCSA, MCTS or RHCE - DoD Directive 8570.01-M compliant certification(s) - Demonstrable experience in one or more of the following: Micorsoft, LINUX, UNIX, OS X, CITRIX/XENAPP, BIGIP, x86 Hardware/Firmware, VMWare, HPSA/HPNA/HPOO, Veeam, Platespin, HP Insight Control, Cirba, Infoblox, Platespin Migration, McAfee virus protection, and Symantec Netbackup

Preferred Skills:
    - Knowledge of DISA STIG requirements TS/SCI CI Poly Preferred This position can be filled in Colorado Springs, Colorado OR Washington, DC.


 The subcontractor shall effectively collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure that server OS build releases are completely tested and provide a consistent core foundation for which government and commercial applications can be hosted upon. The candidate shall ensure that the standardized builds are remotely deployable using provisioning software to a bare metal server or virtual machine, and include management agents necessary for efficient state, health, performance, inventory and configuration data. The candidate shall deliver recurring build releases that update the operating system and bundled components ensuring compliance with required patches and version upgrades.

The candidate will also: Manage enterprise server build baselines (hardware components, software/firmware versions, device configurations, etc.), integration and testing of vendor and third party patches and upgrades as directed; Integrate solutions to monitor server capabilities, processes, capacities, versions, performance, and other applicable protocols to ensure optimal performance, availability, and optimization of server resources individually and collectively at all times; Support engineering for High Performance Computing and integration of all solutions into future cloud computing projections; Provide design and transition expertise for the physical and virtual server infrastructure under a centrally managed but distributed support structure for hosting of internal and external solutions, capabilities and initiatives across the enterprise.
