Consultant for the Delivery of Open Studio Training of Building Section Energy Efficiency Project - UNDP Country Office

Scope of Work:

The primary jobscope is to develop training materials, documents and presentations for an OpenStudio (building energy modeling software made available by National Renewable Energy Laboratory) technical training workshop.

The consultant will be required to:

Develop and formulate the OpenStudio training material: Prepare and formulate the necessary OpenStudio training material to educate a group of practising engineers in the building sector through a workshop with the following learning objectives: 
Impart to participants the OpenStudio modeling ecosystem to effectively model the energy and lighting performance and consumption for new and existing buildings;Impart to participants  how to carefully carry out OS model configurations to allow for rapid alterations and manipulations;Impart to participants  how to use the power of OpenStudio features to easily evaluate changes to your building model;Impart to participants  how to configure the Parametric Analysis Tool (PAT) for conducting modeling studies;Impart to participants  how to effectively extract and interpret results from PAT modeling studies.Dissemination of the openstudio training material: Lead, coordinate and present the OpenStudio training materials through one (1) workshop in Kuala Lumpur. It is expected that live demonstrations on a computer with the software running be carried out to allow real time learning experience with the software.

Methodology:
The consultant will report to the National Project Manager and will work closely with the BSEEP project team based at the Environment and Energy division of the Public Works Department (JKR). Expected Outputs:
Corresponds to the scope of work, the consultant is expected to develop and produce training materials to meet the learning objectives in work scope 1 and 2 above. All training materials must be submitted in an editable softcopy format. Presentations shall be made available in powerpoint format while reports shall be in Microsoft word format. Duration:
The consultancy is expected to take place in September 2014.Deliverables and Timeline:
The component manager will be responsible for the delivery, content, technical quality and accuracy of the report. All deliverables shall be submitted to UNDP Malaysia and BSEEP Project Management Unit at Environment and Energy division of the Public Works Department.Terms of Payment and Scoring Criteria:
The fee is payable upon satisfactory completion and acceptance of the deliverables by BSEEP Project Management Unit and UNDP Malaysia.
