Training of Trainers (ToT) toolkit for UNDP Cash-based Livelihoods Recovery Guidance Notes - Home-Based

The consultant will be tasked to develop training of trainers toolkit on Livelihoods Recovery Programming in the Aftermath of a Crisis (from now on the ToT)The target audience for the ToT is:UNDP Practitioners on livelihoods and economic recovery at Headquarters, Regional and country offices Selected Livelihoods and Economic Recovery experts who are part of the immediate response roster (ExpRes roster).The ToT package will consist of:Training modules; Facilitator Notes;Case studies;Hand-outs for ToT participants;Activity sheets and exercises.

The consultant will develop the ToT in close cooperation with the Livelihoods and Economic Recovery Group (LRG) within the Bureau for Crisis Prevention and Recovery (BCPR) in UNDP Headquarters. The LRG will also ensure links with any relevant team within UNDP in order to develop the ToT.

Key activities the consultant will be asked to carry out include:Initial briefings/ discussions with BCPR/LRG;Interview/ discussion with key livelihoods and economic recovery practitioners in UNDP;Desk review of existing training tools and technical manuals focusing on livelihoods and economic recovery, particularly those employing cash transfers, for instance UNHCR, WFP, Action against Hunger, Cash Learning Partnership, Mercy Corps, among others;Development of the ToT package in its entirety as per the five aforementioned components;Test the ToT package, receive the feedback from LRG and finalize it.
