Security Team Leader (ex-military) - Dubai

Location: Dubai

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director, Security, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
  • Familiar with U.A.E. Laws related to but not limited to alcohol service, tress passing, and use of force, vagrancy, conduct and U.A.E. terms of acceptability
  • Know thoroughly all Emergency Response Plans and Immediate Actions
  • Maintain all Standard / Local Standard Operating Procedures as related to all Security Control Rooms, Operations and Outlets
  • Train, further educate and orientate all Security Officers under your direct responsibility (stage 1, 2, 3)
  • Install Fairmont policies, procedures, Code of Ethics on all Security Officers
  • Use “corrective action” where and when needed via the Colleague Discussion Form
  • Partake in relevant training sessions as provided by Fairmont Dubai Human Resources Department
  • Participate in all O.H.S. meetings and be a permanent member of the O.H.S. committee
  • Contribute to improvement of the Security Department with written recommendations submitted to the Asst. Security Manager
  • Attend to all areas of the previous Employment Opinion Survey making sure the standards of the Security Department are upheld while taking in the interests of Security Officers
  • Run all security (S.I.C) shifts professionally and responsibly
  • Subject to a 3 month review after signing this document, of all of the above to ensure expectations are at an exceeding or mastering level
Employee Status
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 4 years policing, security or military service
  • Preferably have twelve months hotel supervisory experience not necessarily in the Security Department
  • Good Knowledge with Computers / Windows / Microsoft Applications
  • First aid trained and certified with the U.A.E.
  • Have a clean record sheet in relation to offences recorded in or outside the United Arab Emirates
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Occasional lifting and carrying
  • Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling and sitting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
