Project: Physicians for Haiti is looking for an individual to work as part of the Monitoring and Evaluating (M&E) Committee.
We are seeking a motivated individual who would like to help evaluate the experiences of Haitian nurses and doctors who participate in a variety of in-person conferences throughout the year. To strengthen and deepen the clinical knowledge of leaders in Haiti, Physicians for Haiti provides opportunities for participation in international conferences as well as in-country conference experiences.
The intern selected for this position would be involved in the evaluation of these conferences and other educational experiences via the creation, implementation and analysis of evaluation tools. This is an incredible opportunity to learn the inner workings of a non-governmental organization doing global health education work.
Applicant: The ideal applicant will be outgoing, comfortable in multicultural and multilingual settings, organized, detail oriented, deadline focused and able to work independently. French or Haitian Creole proficiency is preferred but not required. A classroom or experiential background in monitoring and evaluation or quality improvement is a plus.
The applicant will have excellent electronic communication habits, with daily access to email and comfort with texting, Skype and other video/chat communication formats. Location is not a barrier, and remote internships are an option.

Internship Logistics: The internship will begin upon selection, and last for a minimum of one year, though those interested in longer term commitments to our organization are preferred. Time commitment will be approximately 5-10 hours a week, and most work would be done independently and on your own time. Supervision is remote. This is not a paid internship.
P4H is committed to helping individuals attain their academic goals, and to that end we are willing to work with those currently enrolled in college or graduate programs to meet requirements for practicum or other commitments in terms of supervision, documentation and time requirements.
