Knowledge Management Officer

Chemonics seeks a knowledge management officer for the five-year, USAID-funded Feed the Future Enabling Environment for Food Security program focused on supporting USAID missions and USAID/Washington in diagnosing and addressing targeted enabling environment factors that promote agriculture sector and food security growth. The program will provide USAID mission-level analytical and diagnostic work on factors related to the agribusiness enabling environment, rapid mobilization of expert teams from global networks of agricultural specialists, development and implementation of training on advanced topics related to the enabling environment for food security, and knowledge management support. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities include:

.Ensure that communications is a strategic part of projects' operations, with particular emphasis on knowledge management

.Manage project communications, develop presentations, and utilize existing online gateways to disseminate knowledge generated through Call Order deliverables

.Work with USAID to define audiences and help determine how to best reach them

.Conduct a knowledge management needs assessment, draft the knowledge management implementation plan, and manage the realization of that plan throughout the life of the program

.Maintain consistency of communications across all Call Orders and ensure communications are consistent with a knowledge management implementation plan

Qualifications:

.Advanced degree

.Minimum five years of experience in knowledge management, facilitation, communications, and/or training required

.Experience designing and implementing knowledge management plans that address knowledge gaps and identify approaches and dissemination channels that foster learning among key audiences

.Experience establishing, strengthening, managing, and/or facilitating communities of practice or learning networks; facilitating events and webinars; and developing materials for public presentations

.Experience working on agriculture-related projects

.Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
