In response to the current situation in the Philippines, Save the Children is in the process of putting together a team provide emergency response support. As part of this we are looking for a Consortium Coordinator to provide expertise and support to our upscale in the area.
Contract length: Fixed term until 31st December 2014
The role:
The role is responsible for:
Coordinating ECHO proposal induction / implementation / reporting with INGOs involved in the consortium
Monitoring all program activities/results implemented within the time frame in coordination and as agreed with the consortium members
Representing the consortium in front of UN agencies (inter-cluster meeting, 3W updates) and ECHO and give feed back to the consortium members
Supporting Save the Children International senior managers of Mindanao/ Luzon Visayas in his/her tasks if possible when requested.
Required qualifications and experience:
A strong knowledge of project follow-up
An experience with integrated project management (multi-sectors) with NGO is required
Experience of work in other developing countries (with experience in program management & coordination) is absolutely necessary.
Experiences in both (i) emergency and (ii) development project would be an asset.
Experience in management of volatile security contexts with capacity to face a stressful environment
Good analytical skills and ability to deal with partners
Ability to be flexible in terms of planning (natural or manmade disaster in the country may imply rapid trip and therefore adaptability)
To be well organized and rigorous, Team spirit and good communication qualities, to have Common sense.
* Experience in Asia - Pacific would be an asset.
