Employment Specialist - Youth Economic Empowerment Project II

The Employment Advisor will work under the guidance and supervision of the CTA and in collaboration with project team members, and implementation partners. She/he will be responsible for all 3x6 approach oversight activities in the project.
III. Specific responsibilities include the following:

Oversight of the implementation of the 3x6 approach for all UNDP projects (PBF, EU, MAF, . . . ):

* Liaise on inquiries and implementation for the 3x6 approach within the different UNDP projects;
* Standardization of the 3x6 approach;
* Ensure harmonization of the implementation of the 3x6 approach in Yemen, within UNDP and other UN partners;
* Facilitate any joint meetings within the integrated 3x6 framework;
* Flag any success and bottlenecks, and oversee the solution mechanisms;
* Quality oversight on the monitoring and evaluation framework in the projects that adopt 3x6 approach with consultation of the M&E officer.
Technical support to business incubators:

* Coordinate between the business incubators and the different stakeholders involved (YBC-MOIT- YLDF- Spark - Mercy Corp);
* Collecting the lesson learned from other business incubators experiences.
Oversight the Market assessment for the 3x6 in the nine governorates where the approach will be implemented:

* Supervise the NGO / Consultant conducting the market assessment and provide all necessary information required;
* Ensure close coordination between the outcomes of the assessment and the 3x6 entrepreneurship trainers/training, as well as with business advisers.

* Strong project management and financial analysis skills;

* Excellent analytical and report writing skills;
* Excellent partnership building, communication and management skills to work with the private sector, government institutions, NGOs, and development partners;
* The ability to solve problems and take the appropriate decision;
* Proficiency in computer software application, report preparation, and data management;
* Hardworking, commitment, ability to communicate and self- motivated person;
* Attention to details.
