IT Project Manager

* The IT Project Manager coordinates the initial project assessment (cost evaluation, technical feasibility, risk assessment, expected SLA)
* He/She provides project plan/schedule, detailed requirements / needs (functional, economic, technical and organizational) of the future system
* He/She participates in the procurement process, as part of the Procurement Committee, including bids evaluations and presenting results to the at Procurement Committee. He/She is responsible for IT aspects of the contract with the selected bidder.
* He/She supervises all aspects of the execution phase including the production of key project documentation and deliverables (incl. product documentation such as architecture, hardware and software)
* At project acceptance, he/she executes or supervises acceptance testing (in compliance with user requirements), and supervises regular service and system availability.
* He/She is responsible for checking all pre-requisites / conditions are met to trigger Go-Live and is responsible for ensuring / providing all required training materials / awareness sessions and support documentation to the IS Product Supporting Teams.
* He/She supervises and coordinates, within each project, all actions assigned to internal IS teams, external consultants or contractors.
* He/She provides regular progress status reports to his/her hierarchy and key project stakeholders (e. g. Business owners, external sponsors, etc. ).
* He/She uses the Project Management tools and methodologies supported by the Directorate / Organization.
* Any other duties as assigned by the hierarchy.
2. REQUIREMENTS

All candidates will be assessed on the under mentioned requirements.

2. 1 Training/Education required

* Higher university degree or equivalent in the field of information technology / telecommunications.
2. 2 Languages

* Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, and proficiency in French.
2. 3 Professional experience required

* A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar post in an international environment; Ten years experience in the area is required if the candidate does not have the required level of education.
2. 4 Specific skills and aptitudes required

* Professional skills in IT project management including all aspects throughout the project life-cycle.
* Personal and professional maturity;
* Ability to maintain objectivity and apply logical, specifically inductive, reasoning;
* Ability to work in teams as well as individually;
* Very strong communication skills, both in written and oral form;
* Ability to professionally present technical information concerning the project before large audiences at meetings and conferences;
* Excellent sales skills to promote the Organization and the project;
* Ability to work under pressure;
* Good social, specifically multicultural, skills;
* Initiative, creativity (original thinking) and curiosity;
* Ability to develop and maintain professional networks;
* Outstanding people skills;
* Exceptional listening skills.
In addition to the requirements, the following Assets and Special Aptitudes would be beneficial
Knowledge of a third official working language (Arabic or Spanish) would be an additional asset.
