In line with fulfilling UN Women’s strategic objectives, UN Women Egypt Country Office focuses on three areas of immediate concern: Strengthening women’s participation in governance and leadership, eradication of violence against women, women’s economic security and rights.Under the overall guidance of the Programme Manager and the direct supervision of project officer the Project Assistant provides timely administrative support services to project implementation activities consistent with UN WOMEN rules and procedures, and works closely with the WPE team. The Project Assistant will support the daily implementation of the activities of the women political empowerment programme and will support the Project Officer in liaising with national implementing partners and responsible parties including government and civil society. Develop and follow up on UN Women yearly work plan for the WPE portfolio;Prepare annual and quarterly progress reports on WPE related activities;Follow up on UN Women related activities as well as joined activities with other NGOs, government, Private Sector under the WPE portfolio;Work on the procurement needs of the project by preparing contracts, LOAs, SSA contracts, RFPs etc.; Translate reports from Arabic to English and vice versa as per the programme needs; Update and organize all Programme files as per audit requirements;Any other related duties assigned by the Project/Programme Manager.Core Values and Guiding Principles: Integrity:Demonstrate consistency in upholding and promoting the values of UN Women in actions and decisions, in line with the UN Code of Conduct.Professionalism:
