The departments might conduct feasibility studies for new computer information systems and technologies; analyse and determine information requirements of users; plan and coordinate the development and design of applications; provide training and trouble-shooting services; evaluate hardware and software for their technical feasibility and cost benefit.
Interns should expect to devote 10% to 20% of their time to administrative tasks.
Required Qualifications
Education
Area of studies: : Information Technology, IT Programming, Computer Science
Applicant should currently follow a course of study (last year of Master degree or above), or have completed studies no earlier than one year prior to this application.
Experience
Any relevant work experience and ability to use standard MS office products (excel, word, powerpoint) would be an advantage
Knowledge on statistical software, experience in research, data analysis would be an advantage.
Languages
You should have working knowledge (both oral and written) of at least one of the ILO's official languages (English, French or Spanish).
Competencies
Adaptable to an international, multicultural and multilingual environment, good communication skills and be able to work in a team.
