PROGRAM BACKGROUND
International Medical Corps operates a rehabilitation project in answer to the needs of people with injury and disability as a result of the Syrian crisis. International Medical Corps rehabilitation mobile teams provide rehabilitation care at community level and rehabilitation center level. As well, International Medical Corps supports rehabilitation centers with equipment and training. Peronnel within International Medical Corps and supported facilities are a mix of qualified and non qualified staff. All are receiving didactic and on the job training.
JOB SUMMARY
The Physiotherapist- Trainer will ensure that International Medical Corps staff as well as partners one are trained on different rehabilitation topics from describing the aims of rehabilitation treatment to delivery of formal lecture on rehabilitation treatment for war injuries and other types of injuries requiring rehabilitation treatment.
The Trainer will move to at least 5 different locations to deliver trainings and will work in close collaboration with Rehabilitation Therapists to define the training topics and schedule.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure trainings for International Medical Corps rehabilitation staff on rehabilitation including setting up treatment plans, holistic approach and others as assessedEnsure training for other IMC department on disability, inclusion and other relevant topicsEnsure training for external partner staffCreate training curriculum, develop all materials required for trainings, schedule trainings, assure participation, and carry out trainingsWork closely with the Rehabilitation Coordinator and Rehabilitation Therapists on project implementationRepresent International Medical Corps as neededProviding training reports including: topics covered, pre and post test scores, training attendance sheet and any other materials required by the supervisor or suggested by the trainerEnsure the production of reports and that lessons learnt can be documented both for internal use and for possible publicationAdhere to International Medical Corps Code of Conduct and internationally accepted humanitarian principlesActively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical CorpsQualifications:Degree in Physiotherapy / Occupational TherapyMust have at least 5 years’ experience in working in rehabilitationMust have at least experiences conducting trainingsINGO/NGO experienceAbility to train none qualify staff on rehabilitationMust have field rehab practice experienceAbility to think creatively and problem solveStrong ability to work in a teamMust have the flexibility and ability to work effectively with various personalities and culturesAbility to work under difficult circumstancesSpeaking Arabic is an assetHow to apply:
