RMC SECURITY ADVISORS
Site Security Advisors are responsible for advising, training and mentoring the APPF guards with all force protection responsibilities on the FOB (24 hours a day / 7 days per week).
Skills and Experience:
Individuals serving as on-site training, advising, and mentoring staff to the APPF base security force shall possess:
Skill and experience meeting international standards in security and risk assessment for organizations operating in high threat areas
Military, police or security experience
Skill and experience in advising and training Afghan staff to achieve self-sufficiency in challenging security situations and decision-making while under duress
Must have sufficient knowledge of Afghan culture and tradition
Knowledge – Contracted personnel shall be versed in providing security assessment services such as:
Assessment of the morale and welfare of Afghan forces (i.e.: receiving scheduled salary on time, any disgruntled employees, any indication of insurgent infiltration, etc.)
Assessment of threats
Supervision of security operations
Supervision of quick reaction
Supervision of evacuation planning
Supervision of project management
Assessment of site security and capacity of existing staff
Supervision on development of security plans
Assessment of force protection layout
Supervision on development of security standard operating procedures
Security contingency planning
Site vulnerability assessment and mitigation planning
Qualifications – Security Advisors shall possess the following qualifications:
Must be fluent in conversational English and be able to read and write English
Must have US, NATO or ISAF (not Afghan forces) military experience, and at a minimum, possess at least an “active SECRET” clearance
Must be a citizen or expat of the U.S.
Must have a military, police or security background (discharged under honorable conditions), or have equivalent training
RMC personnel MUST be male due to the nature of working with Afghan males
