Required Education:

HS Degree plus 6+years of experience or BS Degree plus 0+yrs of experience

Required Experience:

Hands on analysis experience in one or more of the following areas: Malware Analysis, Forensics Analysis, Threat/Intrusion Detection Analysis, Incident Response Analysis and Vulnerability Analysis

Required Skills:
- Must have an active TS clearance with a current investigation - Must be able to obtain DHS suitability - - Experience in identification and investigation of anomalous and suspected malicious activity - Ability to correlate events and conduct trend analyses of anomalous events - Ability to accurately and concisely document findings
Preferred Skills:
- Current TS/SCI - Current DHS Suitablity - Prior experience with DHS - Industry certifications (MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, ISC, CAP)

The candidate shall assist senior analyst as they supports the general health and welfare of other federal government agencies' internet infrastructures through monitoring, vulnerability analysis and reporting, and other incident response activities, including anomalous and suspected malicious activity. The candidate shall use government provided tools and use sensor data to correlate events and conduct trend analyses of anomalous events. The result of this monitoring will be an analysis of potential compromises and emerging threats. Information concerning potential compromises, emerging threats, and traffic patterns shall be identified and documented in US-CERT information products. The candidate shall assist with items such as analysis, detection, and malicious code support, including, automatic detection and characterization, reactive countermeasures, proactive defenses, threat assessment, damage assessment, determination of port and protocol events, examination of log files, internet traffic anomalies reverse engineering, roBOT NETworks (botnet), and development of cybersecurity information (products).
