M&E intern - Beijing

Duration of Initial Contract :Under the direct supervision of Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Coordinator, the intern will dedicate his/her effort to support the M&E Coordinator’s work in strengthening the M&E function of the office.

Working Arrangement:

UNDP will provide working space and office facilities for this internship; UNDP will provide certificate stating the period of internship and the name of the department or office to which the intern was assigned; No financial remunerations will be granted for this internship. Function as a key element of the M&E taskforce together with the M&E/Finance intern, led by the M&E Coordinator;  Coordinate with project Annual Work Plan and Integrated Work Plan, as well as project  Quarterly Report, Annual Report and Results-oriented Annual Report;Develop indicators and advice for programme reporting; assist with coordination IRRFSupport quality assurance during project formulation phase, coordinating SPARC, PAC and Environmental Screening; Assist M&E Coordinator with CPD and UNDAF coordination, Focal Point Evaluations and the conduct of Integrated Results to Resources Framework (IRRF);Coordinate capacity building of Project Management Office’s;Support the implementation and update of M&E manual;Consistently follow up with programme staff on data collection regarding indicator and impacts;Assist in summarizing Evaluations and disseminate lessons learned within the officeQuality assurance of projectsAccumulate information at the end of a project (indicators, impact)Respond to M&E related requests and assignment from Head Quarters, Regional Bureau, and China office, participate in M&E Webinars, trainings and workshopsMaster’s degree in social sciences, preferably in Statistics or majors alike, familiar with quantitative methods;Demonstrated interests in international development and related projects;Experience in M&E/program evaluation will be an asset; Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word;Strong organizational and coordinative skills;Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills;Advanced command of English and Chinese.Master’s degree in social sciences, preferably in Statistics or majors alike, familiar with quantitative methods;Demonstrated interests in international development and related projects;Experience in M&E/program evaluation will be an asset;Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word;Strong organizational and coordinative skills;Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills;Advanced command of English and Chinese.UNDP is committed to achieving workforce diversity in terms of gender, nationality and culture.
