- Experience supporting Windows server operating systems. - Experience supporting SQL server database systems. - Experience working with VMware or Hyper-V - Experience with Microsoft technologies including: Exchange, IIS, ISA, SQL Server, and domain controllers. - Experience producing logical and physical data models in partnership with the business, data architects and applications developers. - Knowledge of TCP/IP, NetBiOS, Internet, Ethernet, DNS, DHCP, NFS, SMTP, and FTP. - Knowledge of system administration, database administration and remote management of blade and Windows servers. - Knowledge in supporting SQL databases on SAN platforms - Experience administering servers, backup operations, and systems monitoring in complex network server environments - Experience with datacenter migration, server upgrades, O/S and firmware patching - Experience with business continuity / disaster recovery failover/failback - Experience with cyber security, server hardening and DMZ deployment - Knowledge supporting mission critical systems 24x7x365 including regular on-call for after-hour and weekend support
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor's of Science - One or more nationally recognized information systems security certifications (CEPT , CHFI, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CNNA Security, CSSLP, CPT, CWSP, Security+) - Knowledge of related infrastructure, tools and services in support of SQL Server databases such as SANs, backup technologies, database administration, and business continuity - Experience of SQL Server database performance analysis and tuning skills including tracing and profiling

BAE Systems Intelligence and Security is seeking a Server and Database Administrator with broad and deep skills to operate, maintain and secure a government-hosted web application through a full lifecycle process. The Server Administrator is responsible for 24x7x365 technical support for a remote installation, patching, troubleshooting, upgrading, configuration, and backup of the operating system, application and database in a virtual hosted environment. The Server and Database Administrator will:
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows and SQL virtual servers
- Respond to and resolve server issues such as system errors, poor system performance, hardware failure, and system down events
- Must be able to perform duties with minimum supervision, and participate in cross-functional projects as scheduled
- Respond to customer service requests and inquiries
- Restore data and re-configure systems when required
- Schedule performance of server maintenance during non-business hours
- Evaluate systems and ensure security requirements are met
- Support the day-to-day operations of web-based application on a virtual infrastructure
- Install application and security packages and patching to server O/S, application, and database in accordance with established configuration management processes
